Alton gives good access to the M3 being approximately 5 miles south of junction 6, the A31 for Guildford, A32 to Fareham, Portsmouth, Southampton and the south coast. Heathrow is approximately 45 miles and Gatwick approximately 50 miles. There is a main line railway station to London (Waterloo approximately 1 hour) that ensures house rentals in Alton are popular with commuters.

There are excellent local Junior/Infant Schools with Nurseries throughout the area and houses to rent within range of the popular Alton Sixth Form College are highly sought after. Alton Convent is a much admired private school with Bedales, Churchers College, Lord Wandsworth, Daneshill, Sherfield, St Swithin and Winchester College being some of the nearby private schools.
